On every plan, card payments run through your organization's own Stripe account: the money lands in your bank, never ours. Stripe charges its usual 2.9% + 30¢, and Playbook Logix takes a flat 99¢ per transaction. Nothing else. You decide per season whether to absorb those fees or add them to the family's total. Pricing FAQ
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. The Starter plan is $0 per month for as long as you want it, with no credit card required to create your organization. It covers 3 active programs, up to 50 players, and 500 MB of storage. The only trade-off is that Starter pages carry a small ad.
Do parents and players have to pay for an account?
No. Only the organization pays for Playbook Logix. Families never see a bill from us. They only pay whatever your organization charges them - registration fees, add-ons, and dues that you set yourself.
How do families actually pay us?
Two ways, and you can use both at once. Families can pay by card online, and the money goes straight into your organization's own bank account through Stripe - we never hold it. You can also record payments made any other way (cash, check, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, PayPal), and the balance updates the same way.
What does Playbook Logix take out of each payment?
A flat 99 cents per transaction. Not a percentage - 99 cents whether the registration is $40 or $400, and nothing else. Card payments run through your organization's own Stripe account, so Stripe also charges its standard rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents, exactly as it would on any website. On a $175 registration that is about $6.13 in total, and 99 cents of it is ours. Everything else is yours and lands in your own bank account.
Can we pass the card fees on to families instead of paying them ourselves?
Yes, and it is entirely your call. Each season has a setting for it. Leave it on and the processing fees are added to the family's total at checkout, so your program collects the full fee you set. Switch it off and your organization absorbs them, so the family pays exactly the advertised price. You can decide differently for different seasons.
Do I need a paid plan to take card payments?
No. Card checkout works on every plan, including the free one. Paid plans add the advanced money tools on top - payment plans, promo codes, early-bird pricing, sibling discounts - not the ability to get paid in the first place.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your organization's Billing & Subscriptions page, and the change takes effect immediately.
What happens if my organization outgrows a plan?
Nothing gets deleted or switched off. Each plan includes a set number of active programs, players, and monthly storage and messaging allowance. When you are ready to go past one of those limits, upgrading takes a couple of clicks.
Can I run more than one organization on one login?
Yes. One account can run as many organizations as you need, each with its own seasons, teams, sports, and staff. You do not need a separate login per club.
What is priority email support?
Every plan can email us and get a reply from a real person - that part does not change with your plan. What the Coach plan and above adds is position: your message goes to the front of the line, ahead of free accounts. That matters most in the week before your season opens, when one unanswered question is holding up registrations.
What is the "Powered by Playbook Logix" badge?
Team websites built with the Website Builder carry a small "Powered by Playbook Logix" badge at the bottom by default. It can be removed on the Club plan and above.
